Our Heartbeat

The Hills we die on — What our Church is known for

Following Hard After God

If we are going to be life-givers we must know and intimately experience the Giver of Life.  We will create a culture which facilitates and inspires people from every generation and all walks of life to pursue a personal relationship with their Creator; inviting them to dive into the deep, mysterious ocean of His majesty and spend their lives engulfed in His goodness.  As we learn how to drink from His life-giving waters we will be empowered to give His life away.

Fighting From Our Knees

Since the battle in which we are engaged is  a spiritual struggle for hearts, our fight must begin on our knees.  Recognizing the fact that we do not have the power to transform lives and that we have an enemy who is actively engaged in deceitful schemes, we will be people of prayer.  We will regularly come together to engage in Kingdom prayer and we will commit ourselves to cultivating a pray and watch lifestyle.  As life-givers, our success depends on our commitment to dependency.

Engaging Culture

When we were lost in our sins, God, in Jesus, broke into human history and became like us in order to reconcile people to Himself.  We, as His followers, have been given that ministry of reconciliation.  Like our Master we will learn to engage the culture around us.  Recognizing that the church is not a building but a people, we will immerse ourselves in our community; being the church wherever we go.  We will intentionally invest in building life-giving relationships with those who don't know Jesus beginning with the people in our natural sphere of influence.  We will cross over cultural, generational, moral and ethnic barriers to become  incarnational witnesses to the fact that Jesus is ALIVE.  His is the life our world is searching for.

Reproducing Leaders

All of us are called to mature into Kingdom Laborers and become life-givers who intentional engage the culture around us for the purpose of furthering the cause of the gospel.  But there are some who have been set apart by God with a specific calling to lead His people on His mission.  As a body, we are called to identify these leaders, help them clarify their calling, invest in their hearts, equip them for service, support their developing vision and send them out.  As we are intentional about raising up these consecrated servants we will see our vision for multiplication and church planting realized.

 Planting Churches

Ours is an increasingly lost world.  Disillusioned by religion, scarred by the church and reveling in their sin, people in our world have turned their backs on God.  In light of the growing irrelevance of Christianity in the secular mind, there is a desperate need for life-giving churches to be multiplied across our nation.  Although the efforts of churches currently at work in America is commendable, there is much more to be done.  As we discover what it means to be a life-giving body we will commit ourselves to making whatever sacrifices are necessary to perpetuate our vision and become a church that plants church planting churches.
